Epiphone's Guitarfest Competition started as an idea to bring guitar players, young and old alike, together for the opportunity to showcase their musical talents, compete for quality Epiphone prizes and offer their family, friends and fans the opportunity to watch them play live. In just two short years it has evolved into a regional phenomenon and this year 320 store level contestants competed in 6 states for the chance to be called Guitarfest Winner!

On Saturday September 6th, contestants made the trek to Rochester, NY to compete in the finals and for Top of Line Epiphone Guitar and Amp Packages and BIG Trophies supplied by the Great House of Guitars. The competition was closer then ever with just a few points separating the top 6 contestants, but when the picks were done flying these were the results. 1st Place - Frank Porter from Guitar Villa in Quakertown, PA. 2nd Place - Jim K from Limelite Music in east Aurora, NY and 3rd Place - Zen Shredder from Guitar Villa in Quakertown, PA.
