Little River Band Drops By EPI HQ

Some of the guys from Little River Band dropped by Epiphone Headquarters this afternoon. Little River Band was the first Australian band to successfully conquer foreign markets from an Australian base. Within eight months of their birth, LRB had already scored three Australian Top 20 singles and two Top 10 albums. In 1976, after their self-titled debut album was released in the USA, the long grind of 13 US tours in eight years had begun. By 1982, they became the only act to have a Top 10 US single for six consecutive years. And record success ran alongside. Total record sales around the world have eclipsed the 25 million mark. They had 16 hit singles by 1985, as well as gold, platinum, and multi-platinum album sales awards. Visit Little River Band on-line at

New Catalog Coming Soon!

We’ve been putting the final touches on the new 2011/12 Epiphone catalog and it should be in your hands very soon. Of course, there is a ton of photography involved and I recently found myself wandering the streets of Nashville to capture images of this AJ-220S for one of the catalog feature shots.

What a great guitar! The AJ-220S features a mahogany body and a solid Sitka spruce top. The neck is also mahogany and joins the body with a classic “dovetail” joint. But all the specifications don’t really mean that much until you pick this guitar up and play it. It sounds fantastic and with an estimated US street price of only $199 you have to check it out!

1936 Epiphone Navarre - Masterbilt

We are currently running a Masterbilt acoustic feature on the homepage of and it would seem fitting that we also just acquired a fine specimen of one of the original Masterbilts. This 1936 Navarre model shares many of the same features with the modern day Masterbilt AJ-500M and plays and sounds superb. Here’s a few sneak-peek pictures and a short video clip. Look for this beauty on The Vintage Collection micro-site in the near future.
