Four time Grammy Winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee John Lee Hooker is a true American treasure. One of the few artists to achieve and enjoy continued success spanning five decades, with Boogie Chillen; in 1948 and now with the long anticipated Face To Face CD.

When John Lee Hooker unexpectedly passed away on June 21, 2001, he was starting to put together a new album. With the help of his singer daughter Zakiya Hooker he was beginning to select the music from the many raw tracks he had already recorded. On his passing Zakiya, with producer Ollan Christopher (Natural Four/Curtis Mayfield), continued working on the production and the result is John Lee Hooker's new album, from his final recordings, "Face To Face

Face To Face has an all star cast of guest players, including original guests Van Morrison, Elvin Bishop, Johnny Winter, George Thorogood, Johnnie Johnson and Zakiya Hooker, along with newly added guests, Dickey Betts, Warren Haynes, Jack Casady and Deacon Jones.
