Wayne Static and Tripp Eison of Static X appeared recently at San Diego Epiphone dealer Guitar Trader, meeting fans, signing autographs and posing for pics. The band was playing the SOMA venue that evening, but Wayne and Tripp graciously took time out to stop by Guitar Trader for the meet & greet, as Static-X was nearing the end of their six week US '04 tour.

Here Wayne poses with his Epiphone Signature Flying V.

As you can see in this photo, fans of all ages love Static-X.

Will "Dr. Epiphone" Jones got to chat with Wayne before they split for the gig:

EPI: Wayne, it's good to see you again! What's new with you guys since we talked last?

Wayne: We've been on tour for the last six weeks here in the US, supporting our new record, Beneath Between Beyond, been using the new Epiphone the whole tour…sounds great, stays in tune…holdin' up…kicks ass. Then we're getting ready to go in the studio to start a new record. We also have a new Static-X guitar tab book due out in the next couple of months with songs from all our records in it.

EPI: You've got a lot of loyal fans I've noticed, rabid fans!

Wayne: Yeah man, absolutely, it's all about the fans showin' up with their hair put up like mine, screaming lyrics back at me while we're singin' the show…

EPI: It reminds me of the days of KISS, with the fans in the make-up!

Wayne: It really is…very similar to that…

EPI: They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery…

Wayne: Totally, it's awesome.
