The Epiphone USA department is hoppin' these days, cranking out models like the John Lennon Revolution Casino, John Lee Hooker 1964 Sheraton-II and others. Team leader for this very important part of our business is Jimmy Ellis. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Jimmy came to us six years ago as a guitar inspector and from there worked his way into his current position.

A lifelong lover of music and in particular guitar, Jimmy spent most of his high school days in local bands, culminating in a record deal with a charting song and the opportunity to work with legends such as Ike and Tina Turner and others...all before graduating from high school! Despite finding this success at a very young age, one of Jimmy's fondest musical memories came later when he had the opportunity to work in a band with the late Allen Woody of Allman Brothers and Government Mule fame.

Jimmy had this to say about working at Epiphone, "I'm fortunate to have a job that I really enjoy. I'm surrounded by great personalities and very talented, hard working people. We have an incredible management team and there are always new challenges. In addition to building the John Lennon Casino's, I've especially enjoyed bringing back the Steinberger and Kramer lines. Working for Epiphone is like having a house gig with benefits."

People like Jimmy are what make Epiphone the great guitar company that it is.
