In November we held a contest to win two awesome guitars from Epiphone and Sevendust. After receiving thousands of entries for the brand new John Connolly LP Custom and Vince Hornsby LP Standard Bass, Wayne H. of New Madison, Ohio was randomly chosen as our winner. Here's what Wayne had to say:

EPI: Congratulations Wayne! How long have you been playing guitar?

WAYNE: I started playing back in the 60's. I was in a number of garage bands the most famous being "The Nebulas". We had the thrill of opening for the Beach Boys and Freddie and the Dreamers in 1965, but Vietnam broke the band up with the dreaded draft. I put the guitar down for 35 years, but last year picked it back up and now find it hard to put down.

EPI: What other instruments do you own?

WAYNE: I have a 1962 Gibson SG a 1965 Gibson J-45 acoustic and a Fender Stratocaster. I have always admired the craftsmanship in the Epiphone EJ-160E. Some day I plan on owning one.

EPI: What will you do with your new Epis?

WAYNE: I plan on playing them. I was never one to collect guitars, but play them hard. I try to play everyday. I find it a stress reliever.

EPI: What do you do for a living?

WAYNE: I am a computer programmer.

EPI: What do you like best about

WAYNE: I like the articles, especially a most recent one about Willie Nelson's bass player Bee Spears. I was not that familiar with Epiphone's bass line.

EPI: Any other comments?

WAYNE: Thanks again and keep up the good work on
