It's that time of year again... NAMM Time! ... and that means new and exciting models from Epiphone!  The following new models for 2006 were introduced at the Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, California this week. Check them out!

Masterbilt EF-500RCCE with case - Building upon the success of their Masterbilt line of professional, all-solid wood guitars, Epiphone introduces the EF-500RCCE. This new "fingerstyle" guitar featuring 1.75" string spacing has solid Rosewood back and side with a solid Cedar top for rich, warm tone that improves with age and a cutaway that allow for improved upper-fret access. Included is an L. R. Baggs acoustic/electric piezo pickup with electronics. As with all Masterbilts, it features the historic 1930's off-set peghead, historic Epiphone script logo, mother-of pearl "stickpin" inlay and tapered dovetail neck joint. Included with the guitar is a Masterbilt hard gigbag with hygrometer.

ES-175 Reissue - Since it's introduction in 1949 by Gibson, the ES-175 (originally called that due to it's price tag of $175) has established itself as instrument of choice for many jazz and blues musicians. For the first time ever, Epiphone introduces a version of this classic 2-pickup hollowbody combining Epiphone quality with affordability. The Epiphone ES-175 features a laminated Maple top with Mahogany back and sides and is equipped with 2 Alnico Classic humbuckers for the dark, rich tone. It also features a hard Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard for classic feel and Grover machine heads for outstanding tuning accuracy and stability.

"Worn" FIREBIRD STUDIO - Epiphone's Firebird Studio combines the “reverse-body” style of the original series with our traditional set-neck design and full-size, Alnico Classic humbucking pickups. To top it off, it features Steinberger 40:1 direct-drive, gearless tuners for unequalled tuning precision and ease-of-use while maintaining the traditional Firebird "banjo" tuner look. Available in the new "worn" cherry finish, this guitar might be new but it has the warmth and feel of a vintage instrument.

Les Paul SPECIAL BASS - Les Paul lends his name to this new Epiphone bass guitar featured unparalleled performance, features and affordability. Starting with the classic Les Paul Special body shape it sports a solid Mahogany body with a glued-in hard Maple neck for rock-solid performance with deep, rich bass with clean, clear highs. Two specially designed Alnico bass humbuckers with separate volume controls and master tone allow the musician to dial-in the perfect tone. With a 34" scale length and 1.50" nut string spacing, the new LP Special bass has great balance and is easy to play. And, with a street price of around $250, you won't find a better performing bass anywhere!

Les Paul STANDARD PLAIN-TOP - The name "Les Paul" means ROCK and Epiphone's new Les Paul Standard PlainTop sets a new standard for affordable ROCKIN! With it's traditional Les Paul construction featuring a solid Mahogany body with maple top and glued-in Mahogany neck, the "PlainTop's" unfigured maple top might not be as flashy as it's PlusTop flame maple sibling but it's the same by all other standards. Fitted with two Alnico Classic humbuckers and a tunomatic with stopbar bridge/tailpiece combination, you get all the tone and sustain that's made Les Paul the greatest name in guitars since 1952. With a street price of around $399, there's not reason not to own this affordable classic.

MB-100 Banjo - Dubbed the "First Pick" banjo because of it's affordable, light-weight design, the new MB-100 makes a great starter or traveling banjo. With no resonator, it's considerably lighter in weight and size yet it's tone is perfect for practice as well as impromptu "acoustic" jams. With a history of over 80 years making banjos, you can rest assured that this 5-string from Epiphone will give you great tone, playability and service for years to come - despite it's low street price of under $150. We've even included a gigbag to make travelin' that much easier!

PR-4E Acoustic/Electric Player Pack - Epiphone introduces it's first-ever acoustic/electric player pack featuring everything you need to get you playing acoustic guitar LIVE! The all-in-one package includes the new PR-4E acoustic/electric guitar with select Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, an Acoustic-15 amplifier with 15 watts of power, 3-band EQ and Chorus plus all necessary accessories such as a gigbag, tuner, strap and cord.
