When Alabama Shakes released their first EP back in 2011, they probably had no idea how fast their world would change. What started out as a group of high school friends making music has quickly turned into much more. The band has gone from obscurity to playing venues such as the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and making TV appearances on shows like The Late Show with David Letterman and Later... With Jools Holland. A full-length project entitled Boys & Girls was released in April of this year, reaching #8 on the US Billboard 200 and #3 on the UK Albums Chart.
