The Blessissippi Crossroads Benefit Concert took place on Saturday, April 28 at Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, Mississippi. The show was sponsored by the Annenberg Foundation, Explore.org and The Gibson Foundation, with profits going to the America's Delta Blues Scholarship Fund, which benefits students interested in music or music technology programs at Delta State University's Delta Music Institute (DMI). The show was hosted by Morgan Freeman and Bill Luckett (co-owners of the Ground Zero Blues Club) and featured performances by some of the best delta blues acts on the scene today including Bill "Howl-N-Madd" Perry, Bobby Keys, Maria Muldaur, James "Super Chikan" Johnson, Jimmi Mays, King Edward and T. Model Ford, and many others. Nina Miller, Executive Director of the Gibson Foundation, was on-hand to present a custom Epiphone guitar to Bill and Morgan for this worthy cause.
