As the ‘60s rock set begins their long goodbye, they’re also quietly--or noisily--cashing in. The Who's Pete Townshend announced he had sold his publishing and copyrights to all 400 of his Who and solo compositions, to Spirit Music Group. "It's the biggest deal we've made so far," says Spirit president Mark Fried. "We're looking at his entire body of work."

Townshend’s memoir, Who He, comes out in October and in November, The Who will kick off a Quadrophenia reunion tour. As for the memoir, it will spare nothing and no one. "With all respect to Keith Richards, Pete is writing a very different kind of book," said Fried. "Pete is writing every word himself. He wants to share as much truth as possible, so it's going to be long and intense."
