Little Feat Plays the Rooster Rag

06.20.2012
Little Feat Plays the Rooster RagThis summer, Little Feat, perhaps the band that most deserves the title Americana for reuniting the fundamental grooves of honky tonk, blues, jazz, and rock and roll with the bedrock of New Orleans r&b is back with a new album and all of us at Epiphone are glad to hear the news.

Their history is long, illustrious and complicated--just like any great band. But they're still on the road and still knocking audiences out. Get their new album, Rooster Rag, on June 26. It includes four songs written with Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter and choice covers by Mississippi John Hurt and Willie Dixon. We'd love them no matter what but as you might have guessed, they're big fans of Epiphone, too.

Little Feat will appear at Tipitina's in New Orleans on July 28. VIP tickets are available. If you're willin', visit the band's website for details. Here are two great vintage clips of Little Feat. The first features Fred Tackett and Paul Barrere on a killer version of "Long Black Veil."  Then, go back in time with Lowell George and Little Feat on the Midnight Special with backup by Bonnie Raitt and Emmylou Harris.
