We got a lot of great feedback about our clip of Paul McCartney and old pal Klaus Voormann in Paul's studio outside London. We thought you might enjoy these shots of Paul putting down vibes, bass, Casino
, and lap steel to songs from Electric Arguments
, his 2008 collaboration with Youth. And how about those chimes? They came from Abbey Road. You can hear them on The Beatles' "Penny Lane" ("...and the fireman rushes in"
As you can tell from Paul's
work on the Casino, his sound is all in his fingers. The microphone set-up on his Casino is not complicated---just point-and-go. McCartney's 'sound' is just Paul. We can hear bits of Wings, solo albums, and the fab four in all of these clips. Use this as your inspiration to grab your Casino and go make some noise at home.
