Paul McCartney helped cheer up the nation by performing on Saturday Night Live where he gave a great version of "My Valentine" with Joe Walsh on lead guitar and longtime bandmate Brian Ray on his Epiphone Jack Casady bass.
For his second apperance on the show, Paul came back with the members of Nirvana to perform their new song, "Cut Me Some Slack" which they debuted at the 12-12-12 Sandy benefit. You can also hear the song on Dave Grohl's new documentary, Sound City, which chroniciles the life and times of LA's legendary recording studio where Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Guns N' Roses, Nirvana, and so many others made landmark albums.
McCartney was in great form for the Sandy benefit but on Saturday Night Live, he gave an even better performance with a full-throated "Helter Skelter" worthy voice the whole way through. It was a thoroughly rockin' performance. Check out the photo of the supergroup courtesy of PaulMcCartney.com.
