Next week, director Joe Berlinger (
Brother’s Keeper,
Metallica: Some Kind of Monster) will debut his film
Under African Skies, a documentary of Paul Simon's album
Graceland, at the Sundance Film Festival. The film will see a limited theatrical release and will also be shown on A&E. Also, look for a 25th Anniversary box set of
Graceland this spring featuring the remastered album, bonus tracks, and a director's cut of
Under African Skies.
“In many ways, Graceland was the most extraordinary experience in my entire career…,” says Simon. “The insight into rhythm was the great gift that I received from making the trip to South Africa, and collaborating with African musicians.” Paul has been using a vintage Epiphone 12-string Riviera on tour. Very cool. Look for our exclusive Epiphone interview soon.
