Rock and roll fans of all generations should check out
Rolling Stone's recent re-publication of
John Lennon's final interview. Before
Rolling Stone became the epicenter of youth fashion culture, it was a true counter-culture mag and Lennon appeared on the first cover in 1967.
Lennon's last interview with
Rolling Stone in early December, 1980, goes in-depth about his music, The Beatles, surviving the 70s, and his hopes for the future. As with any Lennon interview from this time, it's hard to listen to it without feeling the loss all over again. But hearing his voice--forever young and hopeful--can also be quite uplifting, too.
After that, if you need a shot of lunacy, check out this clip of one of The Beatles' best Christmas fan club records from 1964.
