SXSW kicked off with a roar last night in Austin with Iggy & the Stooges, The Specials, and dozens of killer shows around downtown. SXSW is not for the faint of heart and it's doubtful anyone involved will get any sleep over the next few days. The Wednesday Night Ramble at the Epiphone and Gibson showroom was packed throughout the day and was still going strong past midnight. Fats Kaplin will be performing with Sirius radio stars Buddy Miller and Jim Lauderdale throughout the weekend seemingly everywhere (at this count, he's up to 8 performances). More to come.
