Epiphone's Alabama Shakes are featured in a great new article in Rolling Stone about their fast track to fame and their future plans. The story covers the formation of the band in Athens, Alabama and their first fans including Patterson Hood ('God, this band could be played anywhere in the country! Everyone needs to see them!')
The 'Shakes, who have been touring with both a Sheraton II and a Casino, are now back home in Alabama and taking a little time off before going back at it again. "I like to keep things simple," said lead singer Brittany Howard. "I mean, we never expected the GRAMMYs, we never expected to do world tours. All we did was go into the studio, because we wanted to be like a real band and have an album, and then it turned into all this." Look for a special Alabama Shakes release in time for Record Store Day. Their video for "Hold On" is up to 5 million hits on You Tube.
