Longtime Epiphone artist Farmer Jason
(aka, Americana legend Jason Ringenberg) continues his "elementary tour
" this fall and well into 2014 visiting schools in Kansas, Ohio, North Carolina, Georgia, and his home state of Tennessee, teaching kids the importance of taking care of their natural resources and--of course--how to sing loud rock and roll. Jason should have a new album out next year and we can't wait.
Jason appears on Plowboy Records' new tribute to Eddy Arnold, You Don't Know Me
, produced by punk rock legend Cheetah Chrome. The album also features Alejandro Escovedo, Lambchop, Epi's Pokey LaFarge, and Bebe Buell. While you're waiting for the next Farmer Jason record, listen in to Part 1 of PRX's In Search of A Song, featuring Jason
on a number of subjects including hog feeding, the early days of the Nashville Scorchers, and the story behind their signature cover of Bob Dylan's "Absolutely Sweet Marie." Be sure to check out our exclusive interview with Jason here
