Check out the preview clip of the new Stone Roses documentary Made of Stone which is finally coming to indie theaters and DVD this fall.  The film chronicles the long rocky history of the Manchester pop band that set their sights---publicly at least--on becoming the biggest band ever only to implode and scatter, seemingly to never be heard from again.

Happily, that was not the case. They reformed in 2011 with bassist "Mani" Mounfield hitting the stage with a variety of both Ebony and customized hand painted Jack Casady basses.  Their sound is very much intact and still evolving. They have a new album on the way and a heap of fans who can't wait to hear it including Paul Weller and the Gallagher brothers from Oasis. As for their debut, for many fans it's still the best album ever.  It's never too late to join the party.
