Stephen Colbert welcomed Epiphone's premier Casino-man Paul McCartney
for an hour-long special that was--in a word--excellent.
As you might expect, there were a fair share of surprises, quips, slightly inappropriate remarks, Colbert-worthy puns, and lots of talk about The Beatles, Wings, recording Band On the Run
, and of course, the recently remastered and re-released live album, Wings Over America
We especially dug the revival of John Lennon's "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite" from Sgt. Pepper
(which is celebrating a birthday this June) and the Wings classic "Listen to What the Man Said." Check it out.
