Epiphone's Paul Weller
closed out Noel Gallagher's week of shows supporting Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall last night in London.
Along with Jam classics like "Just Who Is the Five O'Clock Hero," "That's Entertainment," and choice Style Council tracks, Weller featured songs from 22 Dreams, Wake Up the Nation
, and last year's excellent Sonik Kicks
"It's a very special vibe," Weller told NME
, "even though the acoustics aren't great for electronic music." Weller also sat in on drums behind Gallagher and Damon Albarn. "That was me playing drums on stage for the first time. Well, I say playing drums. I can't really, but I got away with it. It's a different perspective, sitting at the back of the stage. Too much perspective."
