Prince rocked a vintage
Epiphone Crestwood Custom ('62 or 63 probably) with mini humbuckers on
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon recently, performing, "Bambi" from his debut. As you might expect, Prince and his all-girl band tore up the stage with a heady blend of Prince-worthy funk with a touch of Cream and even a run of classic Allman Brothers at the end. And unfortunately for the guitar's owner, Roots guitarist Kirk Lloyd Douglas, the Epiphone got tore up as well. There's been a swirl of conjecture on the web about what went on behind the scenes and what happens next. Stay tuned.
