The Rolling Stones will return to Hyde Park in London this summer for British Summer Time festival, an outdoor extravaganza that will also include Epiphone's Gary Clark Jr., The Vaccines, and Palma Violets. "It's great to be playing the centre of London in July," Jagger told BBC News, "It should be a beautiful evening."
The Stones last performed in Hyde Park in 1969 shortly after the death of founding member Brian Jones. And just like last time, Mick Taylor will be there. "It was a free concert, Brian Jones had recently died. There were a lot of nerves, it was a crazy thing to do. In the end it was a landmark concert." The Rolling Stones recently announced a short tour of the US and Canada in May to celebrate their 50th anniversary. As for Gary Clark Jr.
, the Rolling Stones have been big fans since Mick first heard him at the White House last year. You can be sure Clark will probably get some more stage time with Keith, Ronnie, and Mick Taylor in London.
