Great news from the UK. Guitar & Bass
magazine has awarded the Epiphone 1962 50th Anniversary Sheraton
as the “WINNER – Electric Guitar £500 to £1000” category.
Guitar & Bass
noted: "The spec of the '62 reflects the moment when the models was possibly at its most desirable." G&B calls the jumbo frets and neck "flawless" and says the "Sheraton is a very easy player and for vintage style and feel…its very hard to beat."
It was in 1962 that Epiphone truly distinguished itself with a line of unique instruments that firmly re-established its independence after joining Gibson Brands in 1958. Old models were improved and new models were more distinctive than ever.
And the Sheraton turned out to be one of the first--and most beautiful--Epiphone electrics ever made. Read all about it here
