The Replacements, the Minneapolis quartet that put indie rock on the national map in the 80s will reunite to headline the Riot Fest in Toronto, Chicago, and Denver. Singer and songwriter Paul Westerberg and bassist Tommy Stinson (now of Guns N' Roses) reunited (without original drummer Chris Mars) last summer to record a fund-raising EP for guitarist Slim Dunlap, who suffered a stroke in 2013. "After two or three hours, my voice was shot, but we were rocking like murder for a while," Westerberg told Rolling Stone. The lineup over all the Riot Fest shows also includes Dinosaur Jr., Blondie, Public Enemy, Rocket from the Crypt, Violent Femmes, Guided by Voices, and Iggy and the Stooges. This is a dream line up for the over-45 crowd and you can expect many Epiphone and Gibson Les Pauls
to fill the stage. Don't miss it.
