Zakk Wylde recently wished Willie Nelson a Happy 80th birthday with a hailstorm blast of nylon madness that Willie (and Django) would surely have appreciated.  Check it out.

Epiphone attended the recent Willie Nelson 80th birthday show at Jack White's Third Man Records in Nashville for CMT's Crossroads series. The band was expertly led by Detroit bassist (and Jack Casady fan) Dominic Davis with support from Epi's Fats Kaplin, Norah Jones, Sheryl Crow, Ashley Monroe, Neil Young, Leon Russell, and Tom Pettersson of Cheap Trick.  It was a terrific show.

Willie was in excellent voice throughout the evening and laid down some high-wire Flying-Wallenda worthy guitar solos that surely had the CMT producers gripping their chairs with white knuckles since it was a very live taping.  But Willie made it to the other side each time. No auto tuning allowed.  Watch for highlights soon.
