Last week, Epiphone's Dee Snider enjoyed--and suffered through--one of the greatest traditions in entertainment, the celebrity roast. The 2nd Annual Revolver and Guitar World Rock & Roll Roast, sponsored by Epiphone, saw Dee's longtime friends and colleagues unload their frustrations and sing his praises.
Epiphone’s Zakk Wylde, Anthrax’s Scott Ian, and Lita Ford led an all-star review that included video tributes by Alice Cooper, Sebastian Bach, Donald Trump, and KISS’s Gene Simmons. Penn Jillette hosted and set the tone but Scott Ian released the most quotable zinger. “Twisted Sister tribute bands don’t exist because no one wants to play the same two songs over and over.”
The evening benefited MusiCares, a charitable endeavor of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and supported by Epiphone. Stay tuned for more updates on a hilarious night.
