A heartfelt Happy Birthday to our bad ass Rock and Roll Hall of Fame bassist Jack Casady who will celebrate this weekend with two Hot Tuna
concerts at the Grand Prospect Hall
in Brooklyn, a benefit for the Guild For Exceptional Children. Visit the Hot Tuna website
for more spring and summer tour dates.
Casady is not only a great friend to Epiphone but the mad genius behind the Jack Casady Signature Bass
which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and can be heard in the hands of--well--everybody. From Paul McCartney
and Jack White's band
s to the Stone Roses, Sheryl Crow, and Dave Grohl, the best artists know the Jack Casady Signature Bass
is the coolest electric archtop bass out there. The only limit is your imagination.
"Everyone at Epiphone really puts forth the necessary mechanical means behind putting this bass out on the market,"
said Casady. "I just can't believe it's been 20 years now since my lovely late wife Diana and I worked on these basses, getting the tone right on it, and that it's still out there. Because in the world of bass manufacturing it's somewhat of an odd duck to have an f-hole acoustic bass out there. But I'd like to think it's got a good solid position in the market and that it's a versatile instrument. So my Epi basses are treating me just fine.
