has a new interview with Epiphone's Frank Iero where Franks dishes more news on his latest EP which features striking covers of The Ronettes classic "Be My Baby" and Johnny Cash's "I Walk the Line."
"The idea behind it was basically to do something for my wife for her birthday," said Iero. "When doing this for her, I wanted to make it more of a heavier statement then just releasing the songs online. I wanted to be directly speaking to her. That’s why I was like, I should wax this."
Though My Chemical Romance are in the past--at least for now--all guitar fans should check out Frank's Epiphone Phant-o-matic Wilshire
, which he designed with Alnico Classic humbuckers and a VaritoneTM
control. It's one of the coolest guitars around and dare we say, a certified strat killer. Read our exclusive interview with Frank on the end of My Chemical Romance and what's coming next here.
