It's a big year for the Mahones, Ireland's band of legendary punk rockers and longtime Epi fans. They've got two albums out soon. The first, A Great Night on the Lash--Live in Italy, was recorded in February 2014 and captures the band at full tilt boogie. The new studio album, The Hunger and the Fight, is out in August and is rumored to be the breakaway hit that fans have been waiting for.
"We love what we do. Sometimes I really don’t understand how I got so lucky, and when I think about it, I walk around with a big smile," Katie McConnell told Irish Punk mag. "I love the people with whom I travel, and the people I get to meet. I love playing this music. I can’t believe how blessed I am. It’s really easy to keep going when you’re so grateful to have been given these opportunities."
"We love our jobs as professional musicians and we know we are very lucky and would not be able to do this without the support of our fans around the world, said Finny McConnell. "It would also be nice not to have to worry about money all the time, but frankly, I would do this for free."
