Keith Richards has never been partial to any particular guitar but he'd be the first to tell you that he's got a whole lot of milage on classic archtops from the Epiphone
and Gibson family.
In fact, while The Rolling Stones were in Nashville this summer, Mr. Richards picked up a 1941 Epiphone Zephyr Delux Regent--one of the first electric guitars made at the original House of Stathopoulo.
Keith's new album is out this month along with a new documentary, Under the Influence.
Our favorite line is when Keith recalls visiting Muddy Waters' house in Chicago in the 70s. "I remember coming here…I just don't remember leaving!"
Clearly, don't try this at home, folks. And as for Keith's legendary Epiphone Casino
, we have the scoop but we can't share it yet. Stand by.
