Be sure to check out the terrific new live album by the Wood Brothers, Live at the Barn
, which features guitarist Oliver Wood on a classic Epiphone Masterbilt archtop. The set was recorded in the late Levon Helm's legendary studio and performance spot in Woodstock, located, just 10 minutes from "The Big Pink" house where The Band and Bob Dylan recorded The Basement Tapes
50 years ago. The Wood Brothers were frequent guests of Helm who is never far from the thoughts of the many friends and admirers who jammed with him at the Barn.
"This show was our first time in the Barn since Levon's passing," Oliver Wood told Rolling Stone
. "We have very fond memories of hearing him and even playing with him there. What a huge honor and privilege to capture a performance in that space. You can still feel him in the room!"
