Congrats to Epiphone's Signature Honky Tonk Man
Dwight Yoakam who made the April cover of
American Songwriter magazine to celebrate his new album,
Swimming Pools...Movie Stars. Dwight chose the occassion to show off his very hip (and very un-bluegrass) Epiphone
Elitist Casino featuring the classic Casino 5-ply Maple body with Spruce bracing, Gibson P-90 pickups, Grover® machine heads, and an ABR bridge. It's as close to Kalamazoo, Michigan (or Liverpool) circa 1965 as you can get without a time machine.
Dwight will appear at Carnegie Hall on May 3 to pay tribute to songwriting legend Jimmy Webb along with Graham Nash, Amy Grant, Toby Keith, and Art Garfunkel. Dwight is also on tour this spring and summer throughout the U.S.
Visit his tour page for more info and check out our feature on the
long and loud history of the Epiphone Casino with cameos by The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Radiohead, and of course, Mr. Yoakam. And watch the man himself talking about his now legendary
Ltd. Ed. "Dwight Trash" Casino Outfit.
