A big congrats to our friends in Electric Hot Tuna who recently announced they have joined the Wheels of Soul Summer tour with the Tedeschi Trucks Band. The Wood Brothers are also on the tour which starts July 1 in New Hampshire and closes at the historic Red Rocks Theatre in Colorado on July 30. Advance tickets are on sale now. Visit the website for details. And thanks to Hot Tuna and Suzy Perler for the great photo.

"Tedeschi Trucks is arguably one of the greatest band in the world today," said Jorma Kaukonen of Hot Tuna. "It is an honor for me and my Hot Tuna brothers to be part of this great tour."

Kaukonen and Jack Casady, the pioneering rock bassist and one of Epiphone's premier signature artists were both recently honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards during the 2016 GRAMMYs. This year Epiphone celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Jack Casady Signature Bass along with the 60th anniversary of joining the Gibson Family of Instruments. Stay tuned for more good news soon.

Epiphone and Gibson also offer our condolences to the Trucks family on the recent passing of Allman Brothers Band co-founder Butch Trucks, who Warren Haynes called "the Lou Gehrig of Rock Drummers" in a recent interview in Rolling Stone. "His mission in life was to serve the music. And serve the music he did." There's hardly a Les Paul player out there in the world who hasn't daydreamed of soloing on stage at the Fillmore with Butch and Jaimoe keeping the beat. Check the band out in action in New York below.
