The Ltd. Ed. James Bay Signature "1966" Century Outfit
is an exact replica of Bay's customized stage and studio guitar. "It's an unassuming instrument; you have to make it yours,
" Bay said of the Epiphone Century. "For me, although the Century is a particularly cool archtop, it's more about the fact it's a hollowbody guitar, made of lightweight wood and with a P-90 pick up, instead of a humbucker. These are the things that really drew me to it. Also, it's strung with a wound G instead of a plain one, like on normal electric guitars. This messes with my approach to how I play it, which keeps it interesting and stretches me to try different ways of playing, and writing!"
Lee Malia has quietly become one of Epiphone's most prolific signature artists for his work with British rock/metal pioneers Bring Me the Horizon. "It's amazing," said Malia of his Signature Explorer.
"At the moment it sounds good with everything so I've been playing it all the time. I think I'll definitely be using it to write a lot of stuff. I have no idea what's going to come out yet."
