Congrats to our friends and artists from Third Man Records who celebrated in Detroit last weekend for the grand opening of the new record pressing plant in the Cass Corridor neighborhood.
The state of the art high- performance and environmentally friendly factory is the first new pressing plant in the United States in decades. The Mummies headlined the all day event along with the Craig Brown Band and Memphis legends The Oblivians.
Some of the limited edition pressings included The White Stripes' classic De Stijl
on opaque red vinyl, The Stooges debut on deluxe yellow vinyl, MC5 live at the Grande Ballroom from 1968, and lots more. And you can be sure with Record Store Day approaching in April, the new factory will be hoppin'.
