Epiphone legend Paul McCartney will release two new songs for Record Store Day on "Black Friday" November 29 featuring a double A-side 7” picture disc. The two new songs, “Home Tonight” and “In A Hurry,” were recorded during the sessions for Sir Paul’s latest album, Egypt Station. Other RSD Black Friday highlights include Nick Lowe’s new version of his classic “Cruel To Be Kind” featuring Wilco, newly mastered live albums by Jimi Hendrix, Leon Redbone and Dr. John, and The Beatles collection of UK and European singles with reproductions of the original picture sleeves. Be sure to check out our classic interview with Beatles gear expert Andy Babiuk on the history of The Beatles long history with Epiphone.

"At the time McCartney got those Epiphones (Texan and Casino), they were distributed by Rosetti," Babiuk told Epiphone. "And Rosetti would turn around and sell instruments to retail stores. Now the weird thing was, Selmer was a distributor, too but they also had a retail store so you might find Selmer would have all of the Gibson line-up, of course, because they distributed Gibson. But to a shop in another town, they'd sell them Gibsons as well. A Selmer shop might have Epiphone product, too because they'd go to Rosetti and say 'we want to be an Epiphone dealer.' It was a small community. It wasn't that big--England is a small country--and all of the distribution was based out of London."
