Happy New Year from all of us at Epiphone! For 145 years, the House of Stathopoulo has been the working musician's #1 choice for professional affordable instruments. Whether you're just learning to play guitar or bass with Rocksmith or a PRO-1, or performing on stage with a Les Paul, Epiphone has an instrument made with just you in mind.

One hundred years ago, 1918 was a big year for Epiphone.  Epi Stathopoulo, only 25 years old, had taken over his father's instrument business--the House of Stathopoulo--and moved the company's headquarters to West 42nd Street in New York. Over the next decade, the House of Stathopoulo, soon to be renamed Epiphone, would start to make waves nationally with the Recording Banjo followed by the Epi's own Masterbilt Series of acoustic guitars which live on today in the Masterbilt Century Archtop Collection.

Today, Epiphone is recognized around the world for making the best professional affordable instruments in just about every style you can imagine. Epiphone artists can be found in every music Hall of Fame and many of them, like Paul McCartney, Loretta Lynn, Elvis Costello, and Peter Frampton, are still playing the same Epi's they have owned for decades along with their newer models. A century's worth of great recordings have been on Epiphone instruments including The Beatles, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones, Jack Antonoff, Alabama Shakes, Gary Clark Jr., Otis Rush, John Lee Hooker, My Chemical Romance, The Kinks, and many more to come. All we can tell you now is that 2018 is going to be full of surprises, so get ready! Thanks to all of our players around the world. Happy New Year!
