PRESS RELEASE – WINTER NAMM 2005

Tropical Paradise

It might be famous for the patronage of shredders like Zakk Wylde, but Epiphone has always catered for more than just rock ‘n’ roll.

When Epiphone first came to prominence in the 1930s, it enjoyed an enviable reputation for the quality of its banjos and ukuleles. These were instruments crafted with unparalleled attention to detail; works of art that sounded even better than they looked, and soon established Epiphone as the builder of the world’s finest ukuleles. It’s a reputation that’s never gone away.

New for 2005, the Masterbilt Koa Ukulele continues the tradition in style. With a body and top constructed from solid figured Koa, finished in stunning natural satin with abalone binding, this latest model boasts the same level of build and tone as the existing Mahogany Keel. A hand-fitted dovetail neck join ensures that the instrument will handle the demands of a professional musician, while its flawless aesthetics give a traditional feel that’s faithful to the Hawaiian instruments on which it’s based.

As if that weren’t enough, Epiphone have included an embroidered hard shell Masterbilt case – so you can take the ukulele’s stunning tone on the road in complete safety.
