Job Summary: This Gibson Brands Brand Manager reports directly to the Director of Brands and will be responsible for the Epiphone and Kramer brand and product planning. This Brand Manager will oversee products through cataloguing, staying close to product and production for smooth New Product Introduction, developing campaigns briefs for Marketing to execution on and driving the brand vision and mission thru all dealer and consumer touchpoints of Epiphone & Kramer. The candidate will work in a cross-functional matrix together with Product Development, Production, Marketing, Commercial, Demand Planning, and Operations to drive projects and launches. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop processes that better connect the Product team to the Marketing team.
  • Manage product cataloging from approved product to asset creation. 
  • Support Product Development in case candy creation and COA creation 
  • Support demand planning at a factory level to achieve timely new product introductions. 
  • Master brand project management dynamics to drive organization, calendarization and operational efficiency.
  • Builds brand plan and leverages cross functional resources (ER, Marketing, Commercial, Product) to drive brand initiatives.
  • Build, communicate and execute go-to-market calendar and determine thematic thru the year.
  • Influence and make contributions to the integrated marketing action plans across categories.
  • Carry out market research to keep up to date with consumer and industry trends.
  • Analyse the success and opportunities of brand projects and creates re-caps and reports to address key strategic areas of improvement – revenue.
  • Assists in the development of brand and product marketing stack, roadmap, and all associated delivery milestones to ensure consistent delivery of marketing plans and assets to key partners.
  • Organizes events related to product launches, tradeshows, dealer activations and sales events.
  • Serve as an external ambassador on behalf of Gibson and Gibson Brand and represents the brand and corporate values with the highest of integrity.
  • Time spent per brand will roughly be 40% Epiphone, 30% Kramer, 20% Steinberger, 10% Tobias
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of New Product Introduction 
  • Planner at heart to execute short-term and long-term roadmap goals. 
  • Commercially minded, results oriented and metrics driven.
  • Experience in handling issues around production, resource management, technology, and workflow processes
  • Communicating and building strong connections with multiple departments and leadership
  • Knowledge of implementation and utilization of technologies that support assets creation from creative team (workflow/project management, digital asset management/DAM)
  • Excellent multitasking, project management and leadership skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solve.
  • Strong project management abilities to effectively oversee and meet strategic goals and execute multiple initiatives at once.
  • Maximizes brand exposure and profitability.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Project Management, Business Operations or equivalent degree or related work experience
  • 5+ years in brand management and planning-based roles
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a team.
  • Production knowledge a benefit 
  • Knowledge of guitars and hardware a benefit  
  • Design ability a benefit

 

Travel Requirements:

  • This position is mostly office based but may involve irregular travel.
