OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of the Body Line CNC Operator is to utilize a CNC machine to create precise cuts which are crucial in the correct assembly of each guitar.  The Body Line CNC Operator will utilize templates and machine programs to achieve the desired outcome for each model. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities will include: 

• Learn and execute standard operating procedures 
• Safely operate complex CNC machinery 
• Perform routine checks for safety and quality on all tools associated with machines 
• Inspect incoming wood for cracks, color grading, and grain defects 
• Inspect outgoing work using calipers under tightly controlled specs
• 95% pass rate based on production requirements
• Operate to a set weekly output schedule 
• Understands and meets quality standards (Specs.) 
• Maintains product flow at appropriate rate 
• Adheres to department protocols (5S and Safety)

• Strong attention to detail.
