OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

This role is responsible for the accurate receiving and inbound dock scheduling for the GBOC facility. It is a position requiring a high attention to detail in order to accurately manage the receiving process, documentation and data entry. This role is additionally responsible for the receiving of non-finished goods items (MRO, Maintenance and Lifestyle / Accessory items not set up in the D365 ERP system). Above all, this role along with all others, must maintain and continuously improve the safety and efficiency of the warehouse operations overall.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain strict controls on receiving processes and documentation / data entry processes                           
  • Conduct receiving accuracy audits as needed during the process (spot checking after the fact)         
  • Manage all receiving documentation and proper filing and retrieval                        
  • Manage the defined receiving and staging to put away team as needed for all inbound processes     
  • Work with other NDC team leads to improve safety, inventory and transaction accuracy                            
  • Metrics for this role are a part of the overall GBOC SQDC goals and objectives sheet as posted and managed within the GBOC facility             
  • Assist in overall warehouse design and improvement efforts                      
  • Conduct root cause analysis and help resolve systemic and physical receiving issues                                     

 

REPORTS TO: Distribution Center Manager

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of consumer products warehouse experience                                   
  • Strong Microsoft Excel capability                                   
  • High School Graduate or GED                                         
  • Experience in conducting inventory physical inventory counts / cycle counts                                      
  • At least 3 years of material handling equipment operating experience

                                           

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong organizational skills                               
  • Knowledge of receiving practices, receiving control and transaction accuracy                                   
  • Knowledge of Inbound freight and carrier processes and needs                                
  • Ability to operate and train others on the receiving process                       
  • Ability to read and operate scan gun functionality and interface with various computer systems as required
