Job Summary: The job of the Gibson Material Handler Receiving Associate is to oversee the activities involving incoming inventory, verifying items being received, processing receipts into D365, picking material for production and inventory control of components and consumables.  

 

Essential Functions:

  • Audit incoming receipts upon delivery for damage and accuracy.
  • Off load inbounds using material handing equipment (Forklift/Pallet Jack ect.)
  • Process receipts in D365 software
  • Execute system transactions for inventory moves using RF scanner.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all urgent requests from other departments.
  • Inventory control functions such as cycle counting and system transfers.
  • Coordinate replenishments of materials to all departments.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Read and analyse charts, work orders, production schedules and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Learn and master all tasks to be able to serve as a backup for each function

  • Strong teamwork and project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a team.
  • Computer skills/knowledge, experience in D365 a plus

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma Or GED required.
  • Woodworking and guitar experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience of supervising at least 10 or more employees.
  • Must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize workload to meet organizational timelines in a fast paced, very high-growth environment. 

 

Essential Knowledge:  

  • Understanding of inventory management systems and the flow of materials from receipt to shipping
  • Must me comfortable in Excel with experience using midlevel formulas.  Power query knowledge a plus
  • Projects and/or other duties as requested by management.
  • Be an integral member of various project teams to change/improve processes as the company evolves.
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Able to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in timely manner.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing this job, an employee is regularly required to stand, bending, stretching, kneel, crouch, walking, and use hands to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.  
  • This position is frequently required to lift up to 35 lbs. and move more than 100 pounds.
  • While performing this job, the employee is regularly working near moving equipment (example: forklifts).
