Internship - Finance and Accounting

We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our organization and participate in our Summer 2024 internship program. The Finance and Accounting Intern reports directly to the Director of Strategic Financial Planning and is responsible for assisting various Finance and Accounting team members with projects and standard work during the internship timeline.   This will provide very good exposure and experience in areas of financial planning, financial reporting, month end closing, and various analyses and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in month end closing including journal entry preparation and general balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in financial reporting including sales flash, operating expense reporting, and cash flow forecasting
• Assist in reconciliation of credit card transactions and cash application
• Assist in SKU level price variance analysis and high/low margin reporting

• Rising Senior seeking a Bachelor’s Degree with Major in Accounting
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical skills. 
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Navigating corporate structure and organization.
• Organization and planning capabilities with ability to multitask and work on different projects.

In addition to the responsibilities and qualifications listed here, the specific requirements may vary based on the organization's needs and the complexity of the tasks mentioned above. 

Experience

• Completion of at least 3 years towards Bachelor’s Degree with Major in Accounting 
• While prior internship experience is a plus, it is not required
• Prior accounting experience is a plus
• Prior experience with financial planning tools and ERP knowledge (PowerBI, D365, and OneStream) is a plus
